It's been all about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger the past two weeks.

He has thrown touchdowns in bunches, which has enabled the Steelers to perch atop the AFC North with Cleveland.

But it isn't lost on Roethlisberger that the Steelers have to keep their running backs engaged, particularly for when the team makes a postseason push.

Le'Veon Bell, whose 711 rushing yards rank third in the NFL, has one of the Steelers' three rushing touchdowns. Bell, though, has 47 receptions and two touchdown catches.

“Even though he's not getting 100 (rushing) yards a game, he's making such critical plays in the passing game,” Roethlisberger said. “He finds a way to contribute and help us no matter what.”...........

this is not time to force a running game ... playing perhaps the worst secondary in the league ....

play to your opponents weaknesses , go after them early and often through the air

Exactly, design a game plan that is effective. When Bell got slowed down by the Ravens, they put in Blount who got all the first downs when called upon. Then that last TD Bell caught on the quick turn around was something no Steeler RB ever did. He has hands and coordination like a great WR to make that play. It also helps that Ben is using The Force.

We can never run effectively against the Ratbirds. They always play tough run defense against us. Plus, ride Ben's hot hand. We will need the run game in December/January

The run game can be important for the rest of the season, but against the Jets......The jets are terrible against the pass and great against the run,so Pass the ball vs Jets!

This. They wasted over a quarter of the Ravens game playing conservative again before Ben, Brown and company blew their doors off.
