When Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell played at Michigan State, he spent part of each practice day with the receivers and competed against defensive backs in passing drills. He continues to do the same with the Steelers, which explains in part why Ben Roethlisberger is so confident throwing to Bell in critical situations.

Bell has 47 receptions this season while developing into a clutch player on third downs. Receiver Antonio Brown leads the AFC in third-down receptions with 17, but Bell is on his heels with 15, the most for a running back by a wide margin.

The Steelers utilize Bell like a receiver, sometimes splitting him out and calling specially designed plays to take advantage of his route-running skills.........

He is better all around than Lacy. Our Lacy is Blount while Bell gives us more flexibility.
