Jets QB Vick still poses formidable challenge

Amid a dismal 1-8 start, coach Rex Ryan is hitching his wagon to quarterback Michael Vick in hopes that the former Pro Bowler can salvage something out of an otherwise lost season for the bumbling New York Jets.

Vick may not save Ryan's job but beating the Steelers (6-3) could be the salve that helps heal the wounds of a team in disarray.........

Running QBs like Vick scare me a lot more than the Geno Smiths of the world. We always seem to have these wide open gaps just past the line of scrimmage for QBs to run for daylight against us. This is why I wish Shazier were playing in this one. He's faster than Vick at this point i his career, and we could just assign Ryan to catch anyone running out of the backfield, including Vick. Timmons is quick but we'll need him to be doing multiple things and none of our other linebackers have the speed to just run down Vick in a heartbeat like Shazier could.
