Tattoos are spreading like wildfire on Martavis Bryant's upper torso. One stands out: the NFL logo, just above his belly button.
Bryant had the shield inked about a month ago. It serves two purposes: It reminds him he was not drafted until the fourth round and represents the realization of a dream.

“When he was little, I asked him what he wanted to do,” Roberta Bryant recalled of her only child. “And he would say, ‘I want to play in the NFL.' ”
Bryant also wanted to play at nearby Clemson. He did. He wanted to play for the Steelers, too, returning home one day during predraft workouts wearing a Steelers hat and proclaiming to his mom, “This is where I want to go.” .............

It is almost like a WR with elite deep speed places constant pressure on a defense, allowing other players in the offense more freedom of movement.

What an original concept. To be fair, Bryant pairs that with a size and physicality this offense has not seen since Burress.

I have definitely been surprised by Bryant. After the preseason, I thought he would be nowhere near ready to play this year. If Bryant can be an explosive player, with Ben, Bell, and Brown, we could have an offense that can offset our weak defense

The 2014 NFL draft class was supposed to be a once-in-a-generation group of talent, and so far many players are already living up to those expectations. But no group is playing as well as the receivers. Look at these numbers:

38/590/5

Mike Evans

Ben has been pining for a big receiver forever and Bryant looks like he may be the answer.

In fact Bryant could be THE missing piece to this offense, especially in the red zone.

Martavis is a tank! What a find in the 4th round

the thing is he wasn't hiding from nobody ...

some had him as a potential late 1 early 2 ... I had him as a late 2 mid 3

we got lucky and got him in the 4th ....

his biggest knock was he is a slow learner and at times drops the easy ball ....

the slow learner probably kept him on the pine longer than what we would have liked but there is no debating his athletic ability

In a night full of positives, and with a young player full of positives, one negative I've noticed with him is that he doesn't seem like a hands catcher. He brings a lot of balls into his body. Hopefully, the coaches and AB can help him out with that.

He is still a young player, and will make young players mistake. He has yet to learn when to come back to the ball, and that has cost him two catches in the last two game. Plus trying to run before he caught the ball cost him on reception. Still can see him learning with each game. A WR with his size, couple with his speed and agility is hard to find. He is the one WR I wanted in the last draft and was a bit surprised we got him when we did. As it stand, we got our best WR in the 6th round, and what may be our second best in the 4th, Not bad.
