Kelvin Beachum says Mike Munchak isn't just giving 'old man stories'

Coming off the best pass protection the Steelers (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/pittsburgh-steelers) have had in 2014, it's right to throw some credit to Steelers' offensive line coach Mike Munchak. DK On Sports writer Dejan Kovacevic spoke to Steelers' left tackle Kelvin Beachum on the subject, (http://dkonpittsburghsports.com/2014/10/30/interview-kelvin-beachum-steelers/) as well as Beachum's steady improvement since taking over the blind side tackle position in Week 6 of the 2013 season.

Whatever stories Munchak is telling the team, here's hoping they keep coming.

Pittsburgh's offensive line ranks ninth in the NFL in Pro Football Focus's Pass Blocking Efficiency stat.

The group has been outstanding of late and Beachum has been a key component in that. Keep in mind, this is a seventh-round pickup from the 2012 draft - the same one that produced starting right guard David DeCastro, as well as deposed tackle Mike Adams.

The Steelers' ability to build a better-functioning and more-capable offensive line from its original state three or four seasons ago is remarkable, and they're starting to see the benefits of that now.

However couldn't it also be due to 4 of our top 8 draft picks over a 4 year period being linemen?

Regardless, I am ecstatic that these players appear to developing into a top caliber offensive line.
