Former Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/pittsburgh-steelers) head coach Bill Cowher has been critical of the current crop of Steelers this season. He called the team 'soft' and 'finesse' after their Week 6 loss to the Cleveland Browns (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/cleveland-browns). Although his comments had many upset, on Sunday Cowher stood behind the team he used to coach on a number of fronts.

On the CBS football pre-game show, Cowher was laughed at and ridiculed by the likes of Bart Scott, Boomer Esiason and Tony Gonzalez (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/2367/tony-gonzalez), not only for picking the Steelers to upset the Indianapolis Colts (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/indianapolis-colts), but also by saying the Steelers will take the criticism and those overlooking them 'personally'.

It turns out that the old football coach still knows a thing or two about how NFL locker rooms operate, especially when that room belongs to the home team at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.......................

Yeah, Boomer backtracked and gave Ben props. I don't see Gonzales and Scott lasting very long on CBS but I could care less because I don't watch them.

The biggest "tool" on tv is Ray Ray though. Wtf was ESPN thinking when they hired him? The next time he offers anything insightful as opposed to a hackneyed old cliche let me know please so I can time mark it for posterity.

To show it's not just a black and gold colored glasses take on it, Hines aint much better.

Coach Cowher knows you can't keep the Steelers down for long. They might have been down there for awhile, but you can never count them out.

Agreed. Speaking of which, has he uttered so much as a peep since Ben's explosion last Sunday?

Stick to Dancing with the Stars, Hines. :coffee:

He should have been shown the door along with Marino and Mushmouth, as far as I'm concerned. But then again, I've pretty much tuned out the studio shows for years now anyway.

He said something on Facebook for the Texans game and for the team for the Colts game.

Zu, I made the mistake of watching the post game MNF show after the SKins-Brokebacks game and Ray Ray is just unwatchable. Dilfer is not bad and Steve Young is still an arrogrant jackhole. No wonder Montana did not like him. :chuckle:

 I don't watch BSPN so my "reviews" should be taken with a grain of salt.

He was tolerable in that post-game show.
