great win today enjoy it a few more moments then focus needs to go to the Division rival Ravens and the way I see it we owe them a good thumping but will be happy with the typical 3 point win ...

Night game in Heinz and Mean Joe's getting his jersey retired. Nuff said...

Lets hope Bell is good to go. He is a remarkable RB, almost always falling forward for extra yards. Also hoping Shazier is back in game shape…Harrison seems like he's starting click.

On a full week, not coming off a divisional road game. Here. We. Go.....

That was more Deebo than old man Harrison out there today.

The best part about this game is that there should be no letdown after their performance today. Ravens, Sunday Night, #75 retirement. If that isn't enough to get them amped up and ready to play, then nothing will.

I expect nothing less than a slugfest. Steelers have the momentum right now and will want to right the wrongs from their first loss against Baltimore. But the Ravens know they're a tenuous spot in the division too. Gonna be a good one.

Yes. Add to the fact the Jets always play us tough makes this scenario even more realistic

What a difference a week or two makes! A lot of posters saying the Ravens were the class of the division, the Bengals going downhill and the Steelers looking to rebuild and calling for Tomlin's head! Thank God GM's and HC's make decisions and fans don't!

Having said that, I felt more confident before 1:00 PM Sunday than I do now. Ravens looked lackluster and Pittsburgh looked dominant. But at this point, who really knows? Was anyone really expecting the Packers to get toasted by the Saints 44-23? I think all we do know about next week is that it will be a slugfest against two teams that respect and loathe each other. And if history is served it should come down to a margin of victory of less than 7 points.

Game on!

No, not after seeing the Jets/Bills game yesterday. Buffalo should have scored 50+ points, too, but kept wasting field position.

If the Bengals lose and the Browns win, the winner of this game will be in 1st place, the loser will be in last place

This is the game of the season as far as I'm concerned. Plus like FS76 said Mean Joe's jersey getting retired equals one HUGE NIGHT!

Yeah, that's an old story. But they have no problem hosting the Thursday night game in Baltimore. Especially if the Steelers are on the road the week before. The League gave the Ravens a huge advantage with the last 2 meetings we had with them in Baltimore.

Zulater pointed out last year that the Steelers were the first team to play a road Thursday night game, while not playing at home the previous Sunday.

Yeah man, it's kind of suspect that they give them home field two years in a row off of a short week. But now Baltimore has to come to Heinz after being on the road in a divisional game.

Not only can I see it, I think it's highly possible. The Steelers are really good at beating teams we're not supposed to beat and losing to teams we're not supposed to lose to.

They will be expecting that.

If we really want to surprise them let's run 12 straight running plays...again.

That'll sure surprise the heck out of them!

On a side note for how well our line played Bell was averaging only 3 ypc pretty far into the game if I am not mistaken.

I wonder if he is waiting a bit TOO long for the holes to develop...

I have predicted the Steeler's to lose the past few weeks and they've played good and won. So, I'm not going to change my trend now. After the Colt's game hopefully they've found their rythym and go on a run. Attention coaches: Don't change anything from Sunday ! ( except C.Allen ). But, as I said about the past weeks predictions, I'm going to say Flacco finds Cortez Allen all evening and burns his ass constently, and you know they are coming in pissed because of losing to the bungholes on a shit ref's call. 31-13....rats ! ( prove me wrong again....please ! ) Go Steeler's.

they were missing lardarius webb who is even better last time and we still only scored 6. gotta stay focused to win this one. crazier things have happened.

remember folks, the colts posted a shut out a week before letting us score 51 on them.

Nuggets of information to consider:

The Ravens have played only two teams that made the play-offs last year and they are 0-3 against them. (Bengals twice) The teams the Ravens have beaten are a combined 15-22-1. On the other hand, the Steelers lost to the Bucs, but that seems like ancient history now.

When the Ravens run the ball 30 or more times they are 5-0.

The Ravens have only scored 53 points in their three losses.

The Ravens defense is second in the NFL in points allowed per game.

Opposing QB completion % when targeting receivers covered by the Ravens only healthy corners (Webb, Franks, & Brown) is 64.7 percent and their passer rating is 105.2. When they throw at receivers covered by Jimmy Smith, the completion rate is 51.3 percent and the rating 51.5.

Terrell Suggs On Big Ben's Big Game: 'Congratulations. Whatever.'

Ben Roethlisberger had a record day with 522 passing yards and six touchdowns last week versus Indy.

Of course Terrell Suggs would have a great reaction to Big Ben’s big day last Sunday.

Ben Roethlisberger set several Steelers records and came close to breaking the NFL's all-time record when he passed for 522 yards and six touchdowns in a 51-34 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. He completed a franchise-record 40 of 49 passes (81.6 percent) with no interceptions.

So what do you have to say, Suggs?

“Congratulations to him. Whatever,” the linebacker said. “They have to line up Sunday and so do we.”

A reporter noted to Suggs that Roethlisberger is coming off his best game ever.

I seem to recall a blowout the last time former Steelers were honored on a night game against the Ravens several years ago. If I remember correctly, the Ravens had five turnovers, Harrison went wild and I went home from the bar one happy camper!

Yep. I was at that game. It was pretty amazing. First NFL Game I had ever been to, as well. Set the bar real high. Too high, actually, as the Steelers have last every game I've gone to since then (two others).

Ravens injury report:

Out: Michael Campanaro (thigh) and cornerback Jimmy Smith(foot)
Questionable: Owen Daniels (knee), Chris Canty (wrist) andYanda Marshal (knee)
Probable: Justin Forsett (ankle), Haloti Ngata (shin),Terrell Suggs (neck) and Lardarius Webb (rest)

Would be very surprised if Daniels plays.

Steelers are healthy with the exception of Ike and Ross Ventrone, who are both out. Even Mike Mitchell is probable.
