Go Jason

meanwhile...

Dwyer is still in the tub (shoulder)

Asked if he is frustrated by Dwyer's lack of progress, Tomlin said, "I don't deal in frustration. I don't deal in emotion. I just deal with what I look at and the reality is, he's not on the field, so he's not helping himself much."

Who's Worilds? jk.

but to be honest, I didn't have much info on him before, so I'm really still waiting to see what he can do.

That may be the same place many Steelers fans are. :noidea:

At the time it seemed Rd 2 was pretty high for a "project" LB - but that's what the Steelers do.

Time will tell.

Of course, it's always fun to see who we passed up to get him

See, That's what I'm sayin' Killer.

There's 3 other lbs in that 2nd round I saw plenty of.

Worilds was an "out of nowwhere" pick for me... and I'm sure others as well.

...maybe we could have changed Ben Tate's future a little too. Sucks for the young man.

I would've taken Sean Lee or Cody, just to keep the Ratbirds from taking him - but that 20/20 hindsight is my specialty

I saw something there early myself... before all the "moobs" and "chewed piece of bubble gum" fallout.

I backed off after that. :chuckle:

Dude is a beasttt. Hope he's recovered from his hammy though.

Anxious to see him play but keep in mind he will be facing an offense led by 3rd string QB Brett Rhomar.

I just wanna see if he can stick his head in there and tackle, maybe a little pass rush and defending the pass.

It's all good, if he stays healthy.

It's actually Rhett Bomar.

It's a weird name, just like Stevenson Sylvester.

Remember that we went against the draft board big time to pick Worilds. Lot of pressure on the guy.

For as much shit as Cody got for his weight, he looked like an animal in Baltimore's first preseason game.

I thought Cody looked good as well, kinda wished we could have got him there and maybe we end up with Norwood and Thad Gibson in the later rounds or something like that.

Yeah, when I typed it, it didn't sound quite right. At any rate I think we need to see a better test for our defense.

Not too concerned even if he doesn't play well. The Steelers have the luxury of time with Worilds.

And those two #1 TE's that the Pats took in the later rounds look like winners too. I have to admit, that looked like a good move them taking that tatooed guy Hernandez.

I think worilds will be fine. He's gotta know what he got himself into.I like his chances.

I'm anxious to see what he's got. I would've preferred Sean Lee in the 2nd but who knows how it'll turn out.

This dude can play he is like a torpedo. I have watched him play at VT and he has a motor and can tackle. We need to just let him develop in the NFL. I don't think anyone will be disappointed in this pick.

After Bruce Davis disaster you figure this time around it should work.
But i was hoping for 2nd round pick DT Linval Joseph from ECU who will be playing for the Giants tonight.

Worilds was a no-show.

Sylvester on the other hand...

I don't worry about who we could have had, hindsight is always 20/20, and even if you called it right at the time, did you also have Mike wallace in the 3rd round last year, Lamarr woodley in round 2 the year before? It looks like we got some pretty good value with Antonio Brown, you have that one too?

Worilds looked like a deer int he headlights last night they ran to his side a lot for big gains. But he will get it soon enough not like he is gonna start be hind to all pro Lbers anyway sit a learn young man. But the sylvester is looking like a steal at the moment.
