It wasn't much more than a week into training camp, and rookie second-round pick Stephon Tuitt found himself running with the first-team defensive line.
Being a first-teamer didn't last long, but Tuitt knew what the Steelers were trying to do.
“They were trying to test me,” Tuitt said.
They liked what they saw.
“We tried to get him in there as soon as we could,” defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau said.
The Steelers hope what they saw two months ago translates to Monday when Tuitt gets his first significant playing time, against the Texans at Heinz Field.............
