There are many reasons the Cleveland Browns were able to gouge the Steelers for 191 yards rushing in the season opener at Heinz Field. Illegal chop blocks might be among them.

At least, that is what a few of the Steelers defensive linemen suggested as the Browns rang up more rushing yards against the Steelers since New England had 197 in the eighth game last season.

The Browns use an outside zone-blocking scheme and cut-blocking is a feature of that as the Steelers know because their own offensive linemen block that way on occasion.

“They try,” nose tackle Steve McLendon said Thursday of the Browns’ cut-blocking. Defensive end Cam Heyward, sitting next to McLendon, added, “It’s not always legal, either.”.............

Hope the D has an answer to their up tempo offense. Took them a full half before they could get a stop.

Or, let them score first and we put it into overdrive in the 4th.

Redemption? The word has been tossed around way too much in several articles for different games.
