It didn't affect the outcome, but it might impact the Penguins' season.

Anaheim center Ryan Kesler lined up star defenseman Kris Letang late in the third period Thursday — and the Penguins collectively responded.
Center Sidney Crosby said such behavior wasn't evident enough last season.

“We could have been better in that area last year,” Crosby said.

A couple of new forwards led the way.

After Kesler delivered the hit, right wing Blake Comeau immediately confronted Kesler. New right wing Steve Downie was quick to follow, delivering a message to the Ducks and the rest of the NHL. Left wing Zach Sill later fought Clayton Stoner, who earlier delivered a hit to defenseman Olli Maatta..............

Eh, they're still butter soft. When they go up against tougher teams and they ramp up the physicality, they're going to get bent over.
