Karate kick gate. Did someone sign for the tape of this incident? Was it really delivered? :chuckle:

Fair. If the shoe had been on the other foot, or in our punter's face mask :heh: I would have wanted some reprimand for the guy who did it.

Sounds fair.

Just curious how the Browns fans responded to the incident.

I think Terrence Garvin got fined more for just laying the wood on the Bengals punter last year. I thought the fine would be higher given Goodell's history of fining Steelers

I would imagine the fine was less because the Brown's players play like they're already injured.

He didn't want to piss off Art III, who holds his fate in his hands along with Mara. . :chuckle:

Where do they get $8200 from?

I was wondering the same thing!

It's a little less than I expected.

But $8200 is a weirdly arbitrary number.

I think it is supposed to be $8250. 7500 x 10% increase.

What the 10% increase for?

Funny that you and I disagree here. I actually think the fine is uncalled for. I agreed with the fifteen yard penalty, but there's no reason it should have gone any further than that. Now, if he actually had kicked him instead . . .

Maybe he got fined for a "purposed cleating?" or some stupid thing like that? Don't know, but this one actually leaves me shaking my head.

If you call that a hurdle you either weren't watching or have a warped sense of what a hurdle is.

He started to hurdle, then looked right at the guy as he essentially did front kick to his head. Totally blatant.

At first I was thinking "Come on, it was an accident, he was just jumping over the guy". Then on the replay you could see, plain as day, it was intentional.

Yes and no. Intentional? Absolutely. But he didn't kick him. There was no leg extension until after contact. What he really did was use his foot like an arm and tried to push the guy away. No kick, definitely intentional, personal foul, but shouldn't have been a fine. IMO.

He was just looking for a landing spot
