The Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants face off Saturday at the Meadowlands in a battle of two recent Super Bowl Champions.

In their last game against the New York Jets, the Giants saw their prized quarterback, Eli Manning, lose his helmet and take a hit to the head that required 12 stitches. He did not return to the game after that, and his status for Saturday’s game against the Steelers is also in question.

USA Online Sportsbooks have set the Steelers as a three-point favorite in this one, with the over/under sitting at 36 points.

@ only 3 points I would take the Steelers. Without Manning expect little more than a partial running game that should be stuffed in the first half.

:coffee: Who cares, it's preseason. I just like to watch and see how everyone is doing.

I watch preseason games mainly to see how our rooks and newbs are performing and this season, particularly since we have so many changes on the O (QB, new dynamic WR's, a pleasant surprise in Tank), I'm paying even closer attention. :tt02:

I really don't give a porcupine's quill what their W-L record is at the end of preseason. It's what their W-L record is at the end of the season that interests me.

That being said, however - with or without Baby Eli, I think the Steelers win by 10.

With the Giants starting their 3rd string QB Id bet on the Steelers as well.

I would bet on them even if Eli was starting.
