A Penalty for "trying" to do a Debo impression by leaping over Lanning and accidentally kicking him in the head ??

Guess AB will be a GOD-ell's hit list this week.

Lol...there was no question he kicked him. Maybe wasn't the initial intention but that's what he wound up doing when Lanning didn't go down for the tackle.

Brown left his feet and the rest was split second instinct.

Penalty. OK.

Fine. I could live with it.

I could not imagine anything else coming of this.

It was pretty freaking obvious that he was trying to hurdle him and didn't make it.

Agreed.

...and thank God it wasn't Sam bent over grabbing his ankles with Browns foot accidentally going up his ass.

It would not doubt be labeled a hate crime and Brown would be gone for the season.

The play was just stupid because the left sideline was wide open. He had an easy TD but decided to play Edwin Moses instead.

Ah, well, we scored anyway. And it is pretty funny to watch in retrospect. :chuckle:

I can just hear the whining now: "Hines Ward taught him how to play dirty on STs!"

AB earned even more respect from me with that

The Steelers' new "hurdles coach" (sorry for the lame music, but it's the only copy I could find on YouTube):

I started laughing when I saw it.

Yeah, it started as a hurdle, but when the punter stayed up, he decided to go for a foot-stomping instead. I don't think it's worth any fine. Now, had he extended his leg and drove his foot into him, that'd be a different story.

It certainly looked to me like Antonio did exactly what he intended to do; drive the punter to the ground with his foot and run him over (in the face if possible). It's probably worth a fine, but I still laugh every time I see the replay :D

Clearly AB thought Lanning was going to dive at his legs and in anticipation he tried to hurdle only Lanning, didn't know what the hell to do and AB wound up stomping him...and there was a little effort to stomp there...maybe not in purpose, but on instinct. I definitely don't think it was malicious by any means.

Nobody cares when it is a CB, but when the punter is the target everybody gets upset. He still has a uniform on right?

Really? After this asshole's whitewashing of the Ray Rice fiasco (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/forums/showthread.php/20700-Ravens-terminate-Ray-Rice?p=443970&viewfull=1#post443970) yesterday? Really?

PUNISHMENT FOR KICK? I’ve watched Antonio Brown’s “kick” a few times, and I think you’re being a little severe. It looks to me like a failed hurdling move. Imagine the punter falling forward (like a tackler would normally do) instead of backward, and you’ll see what I mean. I’ve never hurdled, but I’m pretty sure it’s harder to do when the hurdle is moving. Once the foot meets the head, the rest is simply momentum.

—Jean-Baptiste

Peter King: I saw Antonio Brown forcefully smash into Spencer Lanning’s face mask. Whatever the reason for doing that, I believe it deserves some discipline. There’s just no place for it.

Give me a fucking break. Hey King, do yourself a favor and take Goodell's hand out of your ass already. :coffee:
