No real big surprises. Like the others, I would have like to see So'oto stick al little longer.

I bet they cut So'oto early to give him a better shot to catch on with another team.

minor surprises on Dangerfield and So'oto otherwise not much shock , thought both of those guys had a shot at some of the final roster spots as they both had been involved in some " splash plays "

I heard Landry Jones' real first name is Jordan and Landry is his middle name.

Might be more of an indication that Howard Jones sticks...and Carter doesn't survive the next cuts.

I'm OK with all of those. Fangupo getting released gives me hope for Big Dan.

I'm hoping that's the case. I'd hate to see Carter kept and Jones cut.

Likely McCullers and Mauro make the team now

That was the first thoughts in my head when I read those cuts. I'm happy with that.

I think the truly interesting cuts will be at DE and DL... Heyward, Keisel, Tuitt, Thomas, and McLendon are all "almost " certain to make the roster with McCullers and Mauro battling for the final slot if they keep 6 on the active roster.

Hemer, Williams, and Philon are on the outside looking in.

Only if they keep 7....I hope that's true...but Mauro might be a victim of the numbers game. He deserves a slot...but it worries me

If this were the Pantywaists, Mauro would suffer a mysterious season ending injury in the last preseason game.

Figure they have to keep Mauro and McCullers on the 53 man roster. Mauro's play will likely not allow him to pass to the PS and McCullers...well dudes that big and strong do not grow on trees. Hell, they are trees. Either way, some other defensive line needy team would snap him up in a heartbeat.

How do we still have a 4th string QB on the team when our 3rd string QB should have a job where all he has to pass is gas?

I think you are right about Mauro. It will be a damn difficult decision, but bringing Keisel back pretty much made Mauro a cut... unfortunately.

Landry Jones has sucked fat ass. If they HAVE to keep 3 QB's, they should cut him and put him on the PS ala St.Pierre in the past. Not like anyone's going to be knocking down his door. Probably don't even care where he lives. The extra spot would be better for someone who will actually contribute something... anything.

So'oto cut before Carter only because Carter was on the team longer
