He's already made the Browns a more interesting opponent, but for the rivalry to ignite, he actually has to do something on the field. Manziel has bravado, spice, and attitude, but that only goes so far. The Ravens became the Steelers chief rival, not because they talked crap, but they were a pretty consistently good team too that stood in our way. The Ravens talked it, and walked it.

You know what happens when you have a rivalry built on hype, trash-talking but no results? You get the 2005-2006 Bengals. They were an annoying pest, but they were still the Bungles and that "rivalry" didn't last long.

Manziel so far is all hype. I'll wait for the results. The Browns have always won Offseasons and talked their fair share of hype and crap, but then the season starts and they're still the Browns.

Rivalry?? Since when are a bug and a windshield rivals? Or a nail and a hammer?

The Steelers and Browns do not have a rivalry outside of the fact that we play in the same division.

Whatever rivalry there is, it's between the fans...at least the Steelers fans living in Cleveland like myself. And even with that, what can Browns fans really say? They say "Steelers/Pittsburgh sucks!" (or some variation of it). But really, coming from a Browns fan it doesn't mean anything.

Bayless? That's not helping Manziel's case in my book... :chuckle:

As much as a new dump of crap can heat up a big pile of crap. Stains and all.
