Two men were arrested after a huge heroin bust outside Pittsburgh Sunday night, at the home of a former Steelers cornerback.

There was also a chicken involved.

According to KDKA, the DEA and local authorities found 1,500 bricks of heroin. They also seized 16 guns, more than $100,000 in cash and jewelry, Cuban cigars, cars and a live chicken. (I don’t even want to know what they were doing with the poultry).

The bust was at the home of former Steelers cornerback Deshea Townsend, though there was no indication he was involved. He’s coaching at Mississippi State now.

The two men arrested were 33-year-old Price Montgomery and 35-year-old James Perrin.

"there was also a chicken involved."

One of the more classic lines from the off-season.

An attack chicken perhaps? Anyone that grew up on a farm knows that chickens can be quite vicious. Either way, the local precinct will be having a nice fried chicken dinner fundraiser soon.

So if I sold my house cause I got a new job and the buyer was a rapist....that makes me a "bird of a feather"? Talk about conspiracy theory. I`m sure he`s not making the coin he once was and now maybe can`t afford that kinda crib. I doubt he hand picked the buyer.

I think Deshea still owns the house. The article does not indicate it is his "former home" but that rather he is a "former Steeler player". There are not enough details in the article to determine if Deshea knows these men or not. It's possible he just has a real estate company renting the house on his behalf or something along those lines.

MOUNT WASHINGTON (KDKA) – Police arrested two men as part of a large heroin bust on Mount Washington Sunday night. According to the Attorney General’s Office, the pair were arrested at a home on William Street.
“We keep an eye out and there was nothing giving you any indication this was going on,” one neighbor told KDKA.
The suspects have been identified as 33-year-old Price Montgomery and 35-year-old James Perrin.
Law enforcement and the DEA seized 1,500 bricks of heroin (75,000 stamped bags), 16 firearms, more than $100,000 in cash and jewelry, two luxury vehicles, Cuban cigars and a live chicken.
Mt. Washington residents were surprised to learn that the townhouse is the suspected distribution point of a major heroin operation.
“I was surprised to see that,” said one resident. “We don’t see that here.”
Allegheny County property records show that former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Deshea Townsend owns the house, but there is no indication that he is involved.
“Deshea was a good guy, quiet guy, I knew him pretty well. These guys here, I didn’t know anything about them,” said a neighbor.
Townsend is currently the cornerbacks coach at Mississippi State University. The school released a statement following the arrests, making it clear that Townsend is not implicated in the case:
