UDFA who was signed by Miami after the draft... the Dolphins waived him and we snatched him off waivers. We cut Kaycee Ike to make room.

He's this kid out of Alabama who transferred in from JuCo and immediately became the best CB on their defense. He had a very excellent 2012 with lots of potential for even better things.

But in 2013 he battled turf toe the whole year and wasn't as good, got burned on a couple hook routes this past season because his foot was in pain changing direction. So he fell. Still could have been drafted from the 5th onward but he wound up falling out of the draft.

Very high football smarts, gets in position very nice, quick, hits with a nice pop. Not the best at catching but we don't seem to have a problem with that here. Doesn't have "big size" but still, he's 5'11". If the kid sticks around he has a chance to really shine here.

Doesn't sound that awesome, sorry. Battled turf toe all year, wasn't that good, got burned on hook routes, can't catch.....what the hell ? Seems we have that crap around already.

Nik Embernate released for OT Emmanuel McCray. Embernate hadn't practiced in OTAs, still recovering from his torn ACL.

Sorely disappointed about Embernate. Oh well.

He was still the best CB in Alabama. Just not as good as he was in 2012 and the turf toe caused him some issues. Look at the game sheets though and often times, teams didn't even try to throw at him.

Maybe he doesn't work out or even make the team, but he does have a pretty high ceiling and it isn't hard to see why we brought him in to compete. He could well have been drafted. Happy to have the extra competition at CB.

I am all for a free look at a kid with potential , may not be the biggest Corner but he is not pint size by any means ... 5'11 is probably about NFL average CB size

Was a little surprised he wasn't drafted, even more surprised the tuna fish cut him so quickly. Belue for Ike was a good move IMO. Hope the kid can do well.
