EDIT: The title should be Drew Rosenhaus, not Drew Rose. It got cut off when cutting and pasting.

While he may or may not be a lowlife, dude is worth over 1/2 a BILLION dollars. He has built a highly successful "brand" and likely has more in common with AB than Rosenhaus ever will.

What has any agent ever really done for a player? Rosenhaus loves to have his guys hold-out get a high paper $ value contract so he gets his commission. Then the player is left with a contract that created bad-blood and is largely non-guaranteed "funny" money that the player never sees because he gets cut.

All agents are scum. Might as well sign up with the one that can rap?

Since he's signed for what, 4 more years, there's no contract coming up for a while. Maybe he thinks Jay-Z can get him more endorsements and appearances and such. Or maybe (god no) he wants to come out with his own rap album. Ugh.

i hope its not because brown is planning to demand a raise and thinks Jay Z's agency can do a better job.

I think Mojouw has it right. Jay-Z can provide a lot of cross-marketing potential that other agents can't deliver. I think AB has a good head on his shoulders so I'm not worried at all if he becomes more of a household name and more of a money making machine. More power to him. He has already proved that he's a team player above all else, and he delivered big time last year, exceeding everyone's expectations, even those of us here who already knew he was something special.

I figure the more money he makes off the field, the more reasonable he can be in negotiations with the team that believed in him and rewarded him with that first fat contract (that they wisely doled out to AB rather than MW). I hope the dude becomes a far wealthier man than Mike Wallace. He deserves it.

EDIT: Actually it was Steelreserve who pointed out what Jay-Z can do for players that other agents can't. I'm not suggesting that AB will start rapping.
