No need to panic, they haven't even played a full half of football yet.

It's pre-season... nothing matters. Worry when September comes around... if you need to.

Agreed. He's a hard nosed rusher.

After seeing what Redman brings to the table and already having an excellent rusher in Mendy I say im excited about the run game this season.

I found it interesting that Mendenhall did not get another carry after the fumble. Tomlin punishing him again, or just saving him for another day? Regardless, if we're going to be an effective running team, the kid has GOT to hold on to the rock. Not carrying it like a loaf of bread would be a good start.

Jon Dwyer's situation intrigues me a bit. From most of what I have read he has struggled thus far in camp and leaving early tonight with a shoulder injury isn't exactly helping his stock. Running back seems to be the easiest position for making the transition from college to the pros so maybe he will start to turn it on in the next few weeks. Otherwise I am hopefull that we can store him on the practice squad this year and give him another shot next season like we did with Redman.

Redman looked great tonight to me. Then again, I've been drinking. He definitely runs hard.

Seems like dwyer could be headed to the PS with the way redman's playing

his injury doesn't help either....

Ya it could be that or I just think since it was the first pre-season game and knowing we needed to spread the carries out for Redman and Dwyer he was just going to have a short night regardless.

That loaf of bread line always cracks me up. Should a loaf of bread always be carried at arms length? I usually grab it bay the end of the bag or gently with two hands to avoid mashing it up. If you grab a loaf of bread in the middle and then run around with it, it's not gonna look too good when you get home.

i think people are getting a little to excited about redman. he had 15 att for 60 yds. 31 of those yds were on 1 att leaving 29 yds on the other 14 atts.... thats 2 yards a carry ...:jerkit:

but he gained those 2ypc with a certain "suddenness and glide" that the likes of mendenhall and parker dont possess. :toofunny:

yes thats true...:scratchchin:
but 1 big play doesn't define the body of work. yeah he moved the chains on that 1 play. but overall...not so much ...i'd have been way more excited if he had 15 runs of 4 yds.

redmans "great" day on the field....almost half ( 7/15) of his carries were 1 yd or less....didn't people bash parker for that ?
