Hours after resigning LB Daryl Smith, Ravens sign WR Steve Smith today. $11.5 million, $3.5 signing bonus. 3 years

So in other words the Ravens prorate 3.5 mill over the next 3 years, probably pay Smith a million next season, and he never sees 2015 as a Raven. Not a bad deal. Flacco needs the help that's for sure. Not a guy who elevates those around him.

Joe needs a few Oline pieces so hes not on his back all season again.

Well, I hope he's great at catching jump balls, because that's all he's gonna get.

The fire is still in Steve Smith but I am not sure he is anything near the player he once was

He has Moonball Joe throwing to him. So he will quickly miss Cam Newton.

I will enjoy watching our new safety (Mitchell) lay the wood on his former teammate.

This signing would worry me in 2006, not 2014. He is not the player he once was

He isn't what he once was but he isn't being asked to be that guy. He is what 3rd on depth chart? Should thrive in that role.
