Bills DL Carrington to visit Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers just lost DL Ziggy Hood in free agency so it appears they’re looking to re-fortify their defensive line and they’re interested in a Bills free agent.

Bills free agent DL Alex Carrington is scheduled to make a free agent visit to Pittsburgh this evening. That according to NFL.com reporter Ian Rapaport.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Alex Carrington will miss the rest of the season after tearing a quadriceps tendon during Sunday's loss to the New York Jets.

Verdict: Carrington's injury last September throws a wrench into his valuation on the market this spring. The Bills could argue that Carrington deserves a deal like Wynn's -- small money for a player who has yet to prove himself in the NFL. Meanwhile, Carrington's side will argue that he was off to a great start last season and that the injury prevented him from fulfilling his potential in the Bills' defense.

what I am getting is he was a player on the rise and the organization had high hopes for him then the injury killed his season and a FA now ...

so could be promising potential not yet known to the world , or could be false hope ... just do not know ..

I have not seen him play myself so wont comment beyond that
