Hardest hitter pound for pound in Steelers' history. My favorite defensive player to watch after Lambert, Hamm, Polamalu and Mean Joe.

Even though he started to irritate me when he was interviewed and on t.v., he still was a good guy and a good football player. He did a lot for this team and was a hard hitter. Good luck Ryan and thanks for the memories.

Here's a guy who almost DIED for playing football, recovered, and came back and played his heart out for the black and gold. Thanks for the memories, Ryan. Your jersey hangs with pride in my closet amongst some of the best and hardest hitters of the black and gold....Hines, Harrison, Franco, and Troy.

I'm going to miss the hits he delivered! He might have lost a step in defending, but any offensive player he hit would think twice about going around him after that.

Everyyear, it gets harder and harder to recognise players at training camp. I will truly miss these faces. (from my own training camp collection) Thanks to each of them for the memories and their contributions over the years. :applaudit:

Clark was, and still is my favorite modern day Steeler. I don't think that many would argue against the thought that he was a real Steeler, when not all that has worn the Black and Gold I can say that about. His dedication to the game, the team, and the fans have been above and beyond the call of duty. What he may have lacked in talent he has made up for in intensity. The guy was just flat out a football player. I personally will miss seeing him in a Steeler uniform, and dread the day I see him in one supplied by another team, but what ever happens he will always be a Steeler to me.

There was no stink of Washington Redskins on him when he came over either.

Every time he would just flat out nail someone, I would worry that he wouldn't get back up. He just nailed people and it could be scary to see.

He got a lot of criticism over the years he was here...he was a good player, good leader and definitely one of Colberts better signings. I'll miss him...he wasn't nearly as "bad" as some made him out to be at times...

Plus he knew what to expect from Troy...

He had great toughness, and was a great find for us after Hope left.

The Steelers will miss "him"... but not his twitter account. :chuckle:

Not at all RT @MTSherman78 (https://twitter.com/MTSherman78): Hypothetically if the steelers could sign you as a backup would you consider. #justcurious (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23justcurious&src=hash) #cantletgo#25

if it is any consolation I am glad he is gone , slow , out of pos. big mouth that thinks his game is now what it was 4-5 years ago ...quite frankly its not close to it .

Well, the Redskins are where he came from, so that makes sense ... can't see how it actually helps either party involved, but best of luck to him.

Exactly. His tank's pretty much empty at this point. However, it is the same team that threw $100 mil at Haynesworth several years back. The Redskins probably haven't made an intelligent personnel move since Beathard was still the GM.

Wait ... you mean giving up half a draft of all first-rounders wasn't worth it to get RG3? Come on! But RG3!

The next thing we will be seeing is the Redskins going the the entire draft with one 5th round pick. Guess they are going back to their old ways.
