Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 6m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434524468120002560) Lots of notes to follow on Florida State WR Kelvin Benjamin. He takes a subtle step onto his heels right as the snap happens at the LOS.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 7m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434524834580537345)
He quits on plays if the ball is going the other way, stopping his route. He did this in all 3 games I watched. I watched BC, Florida & Duke

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 5m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434525172150726657)
As far as catching the ball, he consistently fights the ball allowing it into his frame. He won't high point the ball unless he is forced to

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 4m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434525673718165504)
He doesn't look to separate from CB's. Runs good routes, cutting sharp into and out of breaks. He doesn't chop his feet while slowing down

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 3m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434525942568869888)
Benjamin consistently shows little effort as a blocker, and that's alarming for a big man who should be pushing DB's all over the place.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 2m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434526368630468608)
He isn't aggressive as a blocker, won't initiate contact and there are a lot of whiff blocks on his tape. Very little effort here.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 1m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434526567834734592)
He doesn't come back to the ball vs BC, and it leads to an easy pick. Such a lazy play.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 32s (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434527164306690050)
He has good ability to track the ball in the air, it shows in all 3 games. Is a good route runner, sneaky w/ his hands to push and get open

Ryan Lownes ‏@ryanlownes (https://twitter.com/ryanlownes) 29s (https://twitter.com/ryanlownes/status/434527422697205762)
@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) Saw this, too. I always see Benjamin just standing there. Conversely, Mike Evans works to create throwing lanes.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 24s (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434527860066246656)
He runs a great corner route vs. Fla., has to find the ball, adjusts and scores. Tracks a deep ball perfect vs Fla. and makes a great catch

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 23s (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434528107811184641)
Even on the big plays he makes, he isn't catching the ball high and away from the CB or from his body.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 21s (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434528386132611072)
He is a huge kid, big, thick and runs through contact easily. Hard to bring down and perfect to run slants in the NFL, pray for the safety.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 8s (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434528615779143680)
vs. Florida, he was targeted 13 times, caught 9 passes and had 3 drops. One of them would have been a great catch, but it hit his hands.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 16s (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434528979186249728)
vs. Duke he had 10 targets, caught 5 passes and had 2 drops. Versus. BC, he had 7 targets, caught 3 passes and had 1 (maybe 2) drops.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 19s (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434529591982452736)
Overall, he is a very big WR who can run & will make huge plays. However, he drops the ball at too high a rate. He needs improved technique.

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 1m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434529797922754560)

Lastly, he gives very little effort as a blocker and needs to work on his compete level in this regard. I expect NFL coaching will help him.

Paul ‏@Dwinsgames (https://twitter.com/Dwinsgames) 11m (https://twitter.com/Dwinsgames/status/434534596751798272) @Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) when you consider draft cost ( per where most have them ranked ) I question the cost of Benjamin vs L'Damian Washington ...

Scott Bischoff ‏@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) 4m (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott/status/434536443742912513)
@Dwinsgames (https://twitter.com/Dwinsgames) This is a great point, I am not going to argue it.

@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) I think Benjamin is over valued and Washington under valued both in my eyes are mid 3rd round guys

Paul ‏@Dwinsgames (https://twitter.com/Dwinsgames) 2m (https://twitter.com/Dwinsgames/status/434537113476816896)
@Bischoff_Scott (https://twitter.com/Bischoff_Scott) but some team will fall in love with the measurables and they will go much higher

The Steelers always go BPA at position of need, which I guarantee you won't be Benjamin, unless maybe if we trade down from our first round pick which this team hasn't done in I don't know how long. I don't think we have to worry about the Steelers wasting a pick on this kid

I watched both these guys play all year and despite the tweets Benjamin stood out over Washington, If it comes down to the two in the draft I hope we take Benjamin.

I actually prefer Hoffman esp if his current draft stock based on pundits ends up being reality ... Tall , fast enough , productive in yardage as well as TDs and far less costly ( based on projections )

Personally, I still like Street of Pitt. He will likely land after Benjamin, and before Hoffman. He won't make a lot of yards after the catch, but he works the middle very well, and has very good hands. He is willing to go up after the ball ( Ben will throw high from time to time.) and fight for a catch. Still,,, I have a feeling they will go after a speedster like Harron. I think I would rather they go after someone like Ford of the Raders, and draft a kid that can get us the first down when we need it.

Yep,,,, 5'9", and someplace under 200 lbs, same as Harron. I think about the same speed as Harron. He also has an NFL history they can look at.

I take Marquise Lee at 1- 15 or I take Donte Moncrieff at 3-comp.

Marquise Lee contains elements of Santonio Holmes and Hines Ward.

If you want a 6'5 receiver then get a TE. I am not enamoured by Evans or Benjamin at 1-15

1-15. Marquise Lee WR
2-15. Kyle Fuller CB
3-15. Terrance Brooks FS
4-15 Arthur Lynch TE
5-15 James Gayle LB
5 comp Phillip Gaines CB
6-15 Derrell Johnson LB
7-15 Adam Muema RB
7 comp Ryan Groh OG/OT
