The team consists of unheralded players who contributed an outstanding amount to their teams the previous season. Cotchery had a career-high 10 touchdowns in 2013.

Jerricho Cotchery (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/1223/jerricho-cotchery) was far from an average Joe in the Steelers (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/pittsburgh-steelers)' offense in 2013.

He grabbed 46 passes, 10 of which went for touchdowns, and took himself from a veteran the team wouldn't particularly want to see leave in free agency to a priority re-sign, and likely the team's second receiver next year.

For that, he was placed on USA Today's All-Joe Team (http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2014/01/24/all-joe-usa-today-broncos-seahawks/4813797/), a group of players selected for their unheralded but outstanding contributions to their respective teams throughout the season.

USA Today's reasoning:

He's beloved in locker room even if he's a quiet assassin. Ten of his 46 grabs produced TDs...........

Zach Strief (Saints): According to ProFootballFocus (http://www.profootballfocus.com/), he was the highest-ranked tackle not picked for the Pro Bowl. Strief only surrendered three sacks of Drew Brees.

Congrats, Zach! He was in my son's class at Milford High School.

Ramon Foster is the definition of an All Joe player. Hard to believe he was left off the squad.

I LOVE it!!! I have always thought Cotch was an unsung hero... He's been a great addition to the Steelers, and barely makes a sound (publicly). Great skills and a truckload of modesty. Too bad more players don't allow their actions do the talking for themselves.
