Steelers Notes: Sepulveda may get chance to kick off

The Steelers are experimenting with punter Dan Sepulveda as a kicker on kickoffs because they’re concerned about Jeff Reed’s ability to boot the ball long and high.

Reed may be one of the NFL’s most clutch field-goal kickers. But he’s one of the league’s worst when it comes to distance on kickoffs.

Last year, Reed only launched three touchbacks, tied for 30th in the league. By comparison, Dallas’ David Buehler led the league with 29 touchbacks while averaging 67.4 yards per kickoff.

If he can kick it past the 30 consistently I say go for it.

I've heard great stuff about Ben from camp; some articles said he would go entire practices without tossing an incompletion, but really Ben? Throwing a pick 6 to a guy who probably wont make the roster?

The only thing is you don't know what happened the ball could have been tipped or the receiver ran the wrong route then again Ben could have tried to force it in there.
