LATROBE -- If there was one play that brought a smile to coach Mike Tomlin’s face on Tuesday, it was the one made by Jonathan Dwyer.

A rookie running back who gained over 1,395 yards in each of the past two seasons at Georgia Tech, Dwyer didn’t do anything special the few times he had the football in his hands.

But in a period of the afternoon practice when the Steelers worked on their hurry-up offense, Dwyer made a superb block on blitzing linebacker Keyaron Fox.

Definitely. I'm anxious to see him get some snaps this weekend against Detroit.

Good. Sounds like he had a better day. Hopefully the hammy thing is behind him, and he can get out there and compete. The spot is there for the taking.

I love physicality on runningbacks, good for him. Mendy showed some too last year, Dwyer seems to be learning from him

Can't wait to see him on saturday. But it is the lions, if he doesn't have a good game it's a bad sign, lol
