Congrats to O'Brien.
Good for him.
Not good for Penn State.

This won't turn out well, nothing involving a former coordinator under Bellicheat becoming head coach ever does

Nope. It will be fun to watch him fall on his face like all the others in that coaching tree, though.

I'm surprised he didn't hang around to finish the rebuilding job.

Said he was tired of college politics, recruiting and tired of being told how paterno would do it. Can't say as I blame him.

Sucks for Penn State. Guy was a good coach and had that program heading in the right direction. Was working wonders with some of the players on that team...see Matt McGloin...

For those who think O'Brien will fail at the next level,I seriously doubt it.
The guy knows how to coach,he did a great job at PSU and it was inevitable
that he was going to seek a NFL Head Coaching gig. He took on a job that most
others were reluctant to do after the mess at PSU. I think anyone close with
PSU knew this day was coming sooner then later. Now...as for the future of PSU
it wouldn't shock me to see Greg Shiano as the new coach,in fact I think Greg
would do a excellent job and he'd stick around awhile after his failed NFL stint.

The only respect that I have with OBrien is that one moment when he had the balls to get in Marsha's Brady's face after he threw a stupid pick against the Redskins. All other bello chick assistants are sniffing his asshole. He didn't seem to give a shit with him.

I'm watching Total Access on the NFLN and they're interviewing O'Brien. He has the biggest ass-chin I've ever seen. I can't look away. It's like a bad accident on the freeway. You shouldn't stare, but you just can't help it.
