Sad thing is he probably won't even get a Pro Bowl nod because of the down year the team's having.

I voted for him. He absolutely deserves it though.

I think he will get in regardless of the team having a down year.

If we had kept Mike Wallace I'm sure he would have been the one breaking all the receiving record's this year. :chuckle: :wink02:

Sad thing is he probably won't even get a Pro Bowl nod because of the down year the team's having.

thats what i thought at first but you know? im not so sure anymore. the pro bowl is unconferenced and takes 8 receivers. so taking that into account:

1) calvin johnson
2) josh gordon
3) demaryius thomas
4) aj green

those guys i think we can safely say are getting in, no question. next on deck in any particular order are:

5) antonio brown
6) alshon jeffery
7) eric decker
8) desean jackson
9) jordy nelson
10) brandon marshall
11) andre johnson
12) dez bryant
13) pierre garcon
14) keenan allen

antonio brown being one of the 4 out of the 10 on that part of the list? i feel strangely confident because jordy nelson has fallen off hard without randall cobb playing across from him and aaron rodgers throwing to him. hell, he hasnt even looked like the go-to guy for tolzien and flynn even though he is clearly the best, healthy WR currently on the packers. pretty much all of the media attention for the bears at the skill positions has shifted to jeffery and not marshall, and deservedly so. hard time believing they would both get in, and jefferey has most definitely been more impressive. andre johnson and pierre garcon are having great years, but dont seem to be getting the attention with their respective teams taking a shit. even we arent playing that shitty, and weve actually beaten several respectable teams. dez bryant, is getting a lot of negative media attention as usual and already has the reputation, and paired with romo, it seems like he might not be as favored as his year on the field would indicate. keenan allen, great year for any receiver, but not as good as anybody on that list.

i think the pro bowl ends up with

1) calvin johnson
2) josh gordon
3) demaryius thomas
4) aj green
5) alshon jeffery
6) desean jackson
7) eric decker
8) and antonio brown by the slightest of margins

He reminds me of John Stallworth more than any other Steeler WRs.

He uses that saying on one of his shirts on his official website, wonder if he had to get permission from UPS to use it?

brown still might have a shot at that catch record too. yes, he has to play against joe haden, but we should all remember that near 200 yard game he had against the bears and absolutely humiliated tim jennings (a pro bowler a year ago) the entire time
