week 16 of the NFL season features a matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers in a clash with the playoffs on the line.
Both the Packers and the Steelers are coming off massive wins in games that they probably should have lost.
The Packers came back from a 26-3 deficit to beat the Dallas Cowboys, and the Steelers beat the AFC North-leading Cincinnati Bengals handily, 30-20.
History hasn't been kind to the Steelers in this matchup. The last time these two teams met, it was in Super Bowl XLV, in which the Packers came out on top, 31-25. It seems like a lifetime ago since that fateful day in 2011.

Still no word on Rogers starting, but if what I saw of his interview yesterday... I'd say he's not.
Said things like "medical decision" and he didn't look very excited to be answering the same question over and over.

Flynn expected to be Packers Week 16 starter
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Bob McGinn expects Matt Flynn to "certainly" be the Packers' Week 16 starting quarterback after observing the opening portion of Friday's practice.
Just as he has all week, Flynn handled the vast majority of first-team reps.

let it snow, let it snow. let it snow
Snow forecast for Lambeau Field on Sunday
While meteorologists have yet to pin down the exact path of the storm, some are making early predictions of 6 inches or more, to fall throughout the day and the game.

Packers need 650 shovelers to remove snow from Lambeau in preparation for Sunday's game
GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers are asking their fans to help remove snow from Lambeau Field.
The shoveling ritual generally takes place a few times per season at Lambeau, an outdoor stadium that can get heavy snowfall in a short time. Heating coils under the field help keep the playing surface snow-free, but snow can quickly pile up in the stands.
They are looking for as many as 650 shovelers Friday morning, in preparation for Sunday's home game against the Steelers.
Helpers need to be at least 15 years old and will receive $10 per hour. The Packers provide shovels.

So the Steelers still have a snowball’s chance at the playoffs

Of course they'll win. Everything possible to keep it so that our wild theoretical playoff chance stays alive to be squashed on the last weekend.
Oddly enough, the Ravens can't win this weekend or we're sunk ... but if they lose, then Bengals get a free pass to take it easy against them in the final week. That was my original prediction, and that's still what I'm calling.

Browns need to beat the Jets to keep the first games interesting
meanwhile, I betLacy won't finish the game - Steelers will fuck him up
of course I've been wrong about him before, I didn't think he'd last this long

no, the jets need to win out as part of the impossible scenario of us making the playoffs

Jets need to beat the Browns
Bills need to beat the Dolphins
Ravens need to lose to the Patriots
Those all seem plausible, although the Bills-Dolphins game is the one I'll be keeping my eye on.

honestly, even with rodgers out, i dont think the gameplan should change. any qb can look dangerous with the weapons green bay has. even with injuries to so many of them, this one is going to be somewhat of a shootout
We should do something else on first down besides running up the middle.
