Welcome to irrelevancy Steeler nation. Outside of the Bengals seeding the Steelers no longer matter in the grand scheme of things.

Anyway it's hard to imagine the Steelers defense wont give up 30+ points, and harder yet to imagine they'll score over 20. Bengals 34-21.

They'll come out conservative (again, despite the fact that the season's over) by repeatedly trying to run against 8 in the box and go down by about 14-17 points before they finally wake up and let Ben be Ben and make up just enough ground to make the final score look more respectable, but not enough to win. And as usual, the defense will give up a backbreaking big play to kill any chance at a final rally.

24-14, Bengals.

Only two more weeks before the plug can be mercifully pulled on this shit sandwich of a season. Thank God.

Bengals are not nearly as good on the road as they are in Cinci and Ben will keep the game close. Of course in the end, Cincy will win 27-21

Cincy will come out strong. Well come out flat. Well get a big deficit. Well catch up. Defense will blow it on third down. Game over. Bungles 34-23

Bell will score 4 TDs, 2 via ground and 2 via air. Haley has to prove his point that he is an offensive genius. For the first time ever, all the plays go to one individual.

Bengals 31-26. Tomlin tries to go for 2, twice, but Bell fumbles on one attempt and steps out of bounds on the second.

Picking the Steelers since the Bengals have rarely swept them (only times I can think of are 1998 and 2009. Before that, I'm not really sure). Going to side with the law of averages.

We'll win this one and the next one for sure, and we'll keep getting unlikely help so that going into the last week, we're tied for the wild card again. Then one of two things:

1. We'll need help from the Bengals to get in, and they'll take it easy and tank it, and then get blown out in the first round of the playoffs.
2. We'll lose to the Browns in the last week. An injury that doesn't look that bad turns out to be a torn ACL for a player we were counting on next year, or a career-ender for one of our aging veterans. (spins the wheel) ... guessing Timmons or Kiesel.

Anyway ... this game. 34-17 Steelers, and we all wonder why they haven't been playing like that the rest of the season.

If they could not get up to play the Rats and the Fins at home, then why do anything more when playing the Bengals? Like the rest of the season, most of the players will try to go out and do everything they can not to lose instead of trying to win. Watch for more coaching blunders.

The Bengals have a lot more to play for, they are trying to chase down the Patriots for a first round bye, the Steelers do not have anything to play for

We've ended their season before when we had nothing to play for. I remember Hines saying, " If we aren't going, they're not going" and we won that game.

We won't end their season tonight, but we could take a little luster out of their playoff run. And I don't really think they are going to roll over just because they are done. At least the defense won't until the 4th quarter...................

That is the trouble. Who is the "Hines" on this team? Leadership has taken a big hit in the last 2 seasons. Ward and Farrior specifically.

With the New England loss, Cinci now controls their destiny for the no. 2 seed. This is going to raise the stakes

now that we have a huge lead tonight, i cant wait to watch us go into turtle-shell mode and turn it into a game again by sporting 20 3-and-outs in a row consisting of all run plays before still winning :)

All it takes is 2 three and outs and a great return or turnover and the bungles are right back in it. This is the reality of today's NFFL

no, its just the reality of how we play when we actually have a rare, big early lead.

The good news is, we bumped the Bungholes down to the third seed. The bad news is, we gave it to the Pats*.
