he is a quality WR in this league , perhaps one of the most talented so I did not expect to shut him down .... however I did not expect him to set a franchise record against us either ...
that aspect is concerning , considering its become almost a common theme as of late to have someone put up big numbers against our secondary ...
not to be a negative nellie on a day that we get a W but ...
Gordon 237 yards this week
Megatron 179 yards last week
Gronk 143 3 weeks ago

BS BS BS it was a desperation throw that sent Wallace twisting turning into the defense and diving with a defender on his back, also even if he caught it he wasn't in the endzone and time would of expired.

Looks very similar to his first TD catch today. Under thrown, had to turn and caught the pass and then turned into the end zone. 50/50 is not bad.

so because he misjudged the ball to begin with ( and turned the wrong way ) he is absolved from making the catch ?? and tangles his own feet up by making the misjudgement and that is what actually made him fall down ....

so because he misjudged the ball to begin with ( and turned the wrong way ) he is absolved from making the catch ?? and tangles his own feet up by making the misjudgement and that is what actually made him fall down ....
talk about BS ...

No what your video doesn't show is the original route was post going the opposite direction, tannehill threw a moon ball behind him and adjusted and the nre adjusted it would have been an incredible catch, you just want to hate on him no matter what he does.
I bet Mike wishes he made the catch and whether or not he got into the EZ was because Tannehill threw it far enough or not.

A great receiver makes that catch almost every time. Even a very good one should most of the time.
Mike Wallace is lucky to catch that once in five times.

I don't know if that catch was specifically in his contract. You realize they pay tannehill too, maybe he could make a decent throw once in awhile that would help.

Oh that's why we see so many desperation throws at the end of games caught for TD's.

even if he caught it, it would not have been a td he would of landed on like the 3yd line time runs out game over
Not if he doesn't fall down.

Jesus Christ the ball was thrown to the complete opposite direction his route was going and right into the defender, he is supposed to just change direction find the defender locate the ball and run right under it for a TD its so easy I don't know why he just didn't do that.

ones like that SHOULD be caught for TDs and W's ....
most desperation throws at the end of the game are hail mary like and include a group of players all going for the ball ... that was 1 on 1 and the Defender was beaten , the ball hit the WR hands and the game was still lost because he can not be relied upon as a WR , once again he makes a critical drop Yes I said DROP it hit his hands if in baseball that would be an error

Yes, I forgot, for $60 million he is only supposed to catch the balls that are thrown properly. ANY adjustments required on Wallace's part absolves him of all responsibility.
Side question, why do you have such a man crush on Wallace? He is not a god.

All receivers drop passes even he guys making more than Wallace, Also he does make adjustments quite frequently a perfect example is the td pass, he had his man beat completely but he had to wait and fight for the ball. Saying Wallace should make every catch regardless of circumstances is absurd.

lets leave Jesus out of this shall we ...after all there was nothing immaculate about that play ( or lack there of )
why do you ALWAYS want to blame the QB when it comes to Wallace ...Tannehill knows that system better than Mike so more often than not he is doing the right thing while Wallace is likely the one making the mistakes ( and nobody has ever confused Mike Wallace with a Rhodes scholar so his working knowledge of the playbook should never not be in question )

Im not talking aboute route mistakes, they have been good connecting on the short routes. It is the down field plays anyone can clearly see Wallace open and the pass under thrown, what mistake could Wallace be making, running to fast?

TURNING the wrong way , forcing readjustment , making the drop and falling down ...
turn the right way to begin with you make the catch your feet do not tangle in the circling mess from double turn in a step and a half and you score the TD ... but hey what do I know

Im not absolving him for every drop in fact I just said all receivers drop passes, brown has like 4 drops in the endzone this season. That was a bad pass into coverage and would of been a great catch but he would not of scored as the defender was right on him.

Not sure if you were around for some of the earlier discussions on Wallace. According to steeldawg, Wallace is only responsible for speed. He can't be expected to jump, can't be expected to adjust, can't be expected to fight for passes. If the ball does not hit Wallace in stride and in the numbers, it is ALWAYS someone else's fault.

Oh its that easy to turn around the other direction find the defender look up locate the ball that was poorly thrown and be in perfect position? Please , how about if an fl qb has guy open on a post he throws it to the post instead of up the seam into the defense?

I never said that, completely false, what I said was Wallace should not have to out jump a defender for a ball when he beats him by 5 yards, we have a 100 million dollar qb who should be able to hit him in stride. I never said he should never jump or never adjust that's ridiculous. And yes if your a receiver and you beat your man your qb's job is to hit you in stride, accuracy should be part of an nfl qb's arsenal.

again you are assuming the ball was thrown to the wrong spot on the field ... how can you be so sure was YOU in the huddle for the play call ?
did YOU call the play into the huddle ? ( is your name really Mike Sherman ? )
I think Tannehill knew where the ball was supposed to be , and I think Wallace turned the wrong way when looking for it and was forced to readjust .....
I could be wrong but I suspect the QB who has been in the system longer , is a smarter person thus knows the plays better would have a better idea on what , when and where things should be taking place ....
but again what do I know

Expected /= never. Your expectations of Wallace are simple. Run as fast as you can, look up for the ball. If it is not on target, oh well, reboot. Anything else is on the QB, the defender, the grass, the wind, the sun in his eyes, the stars in his eyes, etc.

Oh no the 2 he dropped in the raiders game where not in the end zone. But he did drop one tonight, he dropped a pass in the end zone against the bears and one last week against the lions and that's just what I can remember.

Gotta agree with you there. That site, if I remember has a weird way of counting drops. I remember in one of our discussions on Wallace that this site showed him with only 1 drop and we all could clearly remember about 6.
