Don't play any tight coverage or cover anyone, especially not Calvin Johnson.

Don't force Stafford to beat you. Don't make him make tough throws in windows in bad weather. Just drop everyone back and let him play pitch and catch with his WIDE OPEN receivers.

More TEN YARD CUSHION BULLGARBAGE FROM LEBEAU.

Brilliant strategy from the Defensive Genius.

Don't forget about that defensive-minded head coach we've got...

What, are you kidding? No one should EVER question Dick LeBeau. No matter what, it's never his fault. Shame on you for even suggesting such a thing!

His schemes are perfect - provided he has the personnel to employ them.

We need to pressure the QB. We can't. Butler wanted to draft Arthur Brown. He couldn't. We thought Ta'amu could replace Hampton. He couldn't.

(And I have hated for years the way we go prevent at the end of halves...)

Pressuring the QB isn't going to do a damn thing when you have receivers running free in the secondary. You're just asking for trouble.

Of course, this doesn't apply to a "genius" like Lebeau.

Yup, yup and yup. Pretty obvious, yet we must not be seeing something right, cause we are just fans.

LeBeau deserves to be fired

LeBeau has done enough for this franchise that he deserves to retire with dignity -- provided he does it this offseason. :chuckle:

Credit where credit is due. He made the proper adjustments in the 2nd half and not only shut out the Lions, but also held Megatron without a catch. Excellent job, Dick.

There isn't a defense in this world that can stop him without double/triple teaming him. We all know the downsides of double/triple teaming right ?

defense bended but didnt break.

Astronomically horrible 2nd quarter for them, but excellent for the other 3.

Those 3 turnovers helped big time. So did the lack of us committing turnovers. Gee, its almost like a winning formula or something :chuckle:

Second half was well done.

Giving up 17 points in under 4 minutes in an attempt to "run out the clock" with huge cushions is nevertheless unacceptable.

Dick Lebeau by all rights should be the first coordinator to be inducted in the hall of fame as a coordinator. "Fire Lebeau" ?! GTFO.

And you would get no argument from me. However, that does not mean he is above criticism.

Megatron held without a catch in the second half.

Lebeau made the proper adjustments, sure. But this shouldn't have happened in the first place.
