What is your favorite hockey movie? I posted the most popular ones and of course added Sudden Death since it was filmed in Pittsburgh with the Penguins playing in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Goon is now my favorite, before I saw this movie Sean William Scott was always Stiffler from the American Pie movies to me, now he will always be Doug Glatt, also love the goalie Marco Belchier in this movie.

There's slapshot, then there's hockey movies. There is no comparison between the two.
BTW, the day I realized who Hanrahan's wife was in that movie (Suzanne, the woman that Reggie Dunlop slept with and found out she was bi), was the day "A Christmas Story" lost its innocence.
Yes, Ralph's mother was Hanrahan's wife in Slapshot.

As much as I love Slapshot (couple Halloweens ago me and two buddies dress up as the Hansen brothers, not many folks got it, but the ones who did were cracking up), but I have to go with Miracle. Probably the single biggest event in US hockey, and the movie portrayed it extremely well.

Miracle for what it represented. Slap Shot a close second for pure insanity.
