The Washington Redskins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was) have posted a depth chart on their website (http://www.redskins.com/gen/team/depthChart.jsp), and veteran running back Willie Parker (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5880)'s not in the top three. Ryan Torain (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11362) is currently listed as the third-team running back behind Clinton Portis (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=3579) and Larry Johnson (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=4485). Parker has not been receiving a lot of reps, and his placement on the depth chart is not a good sign for the former Steelers star.

LOL. At this point he misses us more than we miss him, tenfold!

Doesn't look like it's working out the way he hoped it would...I'm not one that's happy to see this.

I too am feeling bad for FWP - I hoped for better for him (except for when playing against the Steelers) and I'm sure he was hoping for better as well. This can't be what he envisioned when he left us for Washington.

However, he did shine quite brightly for a while and holds the record for the longest TD run in a SB game. Plus he owns two SB rings. Not too shabby, really - that's more than most people can say, even the few people who are actually football players. Thank you, Willie, for all you've done, and I hope some day you can bask in the glory of what you've earned and accomplished. You done good.

Well said, that sums up how I feel perfectly

Hey, I'd have the guy back in a heartbeat. He's got low reps for a back, even with his heavy seasons. I have no doubt that if RM went down, WP would have a 1000 yard season for us.

He gave us some great seasons before his knee slowed him down and for that I thank him!!

I honestly don't feel bad for him....Willie was blessed with the chance to even get in the NFL because one of the Rooney's put in a good word for the kid who never sniffed the field in college. I give Willie alot of credit for taking that opportunity and making the most of it.

There's a time and place for everything... and Willie's time has come to walk away from the game...

He should have bought a home in Pittsburgh and never left, so he could be treated like a king everytime he went out in public.

Dang! I was just about to say well FWP deserves his current situation for leaving Pittsburgh, but that video just melted my heart. Ugh.

Thanks for the memories Willie!

Maybe they will cut him early and he could have a shot at a team that could use and appreciate him.

Who do the Rams have behind Steven Jackson? Who do the Jags have behind MJD? He will be a #2 for somebody.

Willie's career has really gone down hill. sitting behind some guy named Ryan Torain. I feel bad for him

same here

I hope the guy finds a job. He can still be a reliable backup imo

And like Kaeg said, the rams could use a backup. Though his career did begin to go downhill in the rams stadium....

I tend to agree. It looked like he had gotten some of his burst back at the end of last season. I think if he gets on the field he'll be effective.
