There are plenty of theories going around on what ails the 2-5 Steelers. They are slow starters, allow too many big plays on defense and can't run the ball on offense. All that is true, but the inability to score and prevent touchdowns in the red zone is as big a problem as any for this team.

As the Steelers approach the halfway point of the 2013 season, they are 30th in the NFL in red-zone offense. Only the winless Jacksonville Jaguars have a harder time scoring touchdowns in the red zone than the Steelers........

Sad but true. We've been settling for FGs in the redzone instead of TDs for way too long.

its to the point where our kicker is basically one of our most important offensive players. Yes, i said offensive, not special teams

I think this obviously has had everything to do with an inconsistent running attack.

Red Zone offense has been an issue since 2007. Steelers stumbling in the red zone has been a problem for years. It's nothing new.

Ben has been the QB for these years. I think his sand lot mentality becomes a hindrance in close.
