NFL preseason power rankings: Cowboys can't shake Colts from top spot(steelers 18th)

1. Indianapolis Colts -- This team didn't lose much from its 2009 runner-up squad. And it has the most important piece of all -- Peyton Manning.
2. Dallas Cowboys -- Dez Bryant could add an exciting, explosive threat to Tony Romo's offense. But can they keep from imploding because of controversy?
3. New Orleans Saints -- Defending champs face the daunting prospect of repeating: Only two teams have done that in past 13 years.
4. Minnesota Vikings -- With Brett Favre, they look like Super Bowl contenders. Without him … who really thinks that won't happen?
5. Baltimore Ravens -- If they can stay healthy (loss of Domonique Foxworth at start of camp was ominous), this team looks like class of AFC North.
6. New York Jets -- Lots of big names added in the offseason to feed Rex Ryan's bravado. But is there substance behind all the confidence?



18. Pittsburgh Steelers -- The Ben Roethlisberger suspension and holes along the offensive line could make for a tough start to the season.

Power rankings are team rankings based on how the team looks on paper. They shouldn't be taken seriously IMO. Games aren't played on paper.

No kidding....That is as bad a secondary as I have ever seen.

You know, Pat Kirwan had pretty much pegged us as being maybe the 3rd best team in the AFC North...but seems to have changed his tune after going to Latrobe.

I'll take 18...and then I'll laugh at the talking heads who will make their own predictions based on these rankings instead of doing ANY research whatsoever. Then they will all be surprised at mid season and "change" the Steelers storyline to a blah blah blah...."come-back kids"...blah blah blah.....

I can name only about 5 journalists who's body of work involves more than just writing story lines based on common perception or knob-slobbing favoritism. The rest of them wouldnt know how to do research to save their lives.
