Le'Veon Bell doesn't like to bounce runs outside, but he found himself doing it on a couple of occasions against the New York Jets.

He missed a couple of holes and hit a couple. He blew a couple of assignments and was flawless on others — just what you would expect from a rookie.

The Steelers (http://triblive.com/sports/steelers/) used a second-round pick on Bell in April's draft with the hopes that he could partner with their ever-growing pedigree of offensive linemen to revitalize the run game.

Those hopes — just like Bell adjusting to the NFL — have been slowed by injuries..........

This is something I touched on in another thread. Bell has a few things working against him right now.

1. He is a rookie.
2. He is a rookie who's progress has been slowed by early injuries.
3. He is playing behind a OL that may be playing worse than any Steeler line I have seen.
4. The OC has not really given the offense any kind of personality at all. Seems like he's game plan is a GRAB BAG game plan.
5. We all were so hungry for any kind of a running game, the some of us may have expected to much of the young man coming out.

I do think he is a fine kid, and will become a fine RB for us. Just give him time, and a little help by way of blocking.
