Well, it feels a bit different this year, doesn't it? Bengals in first?

Here's hoping for a typical AFCN slugfest anyway.

I really have no clue who to pick. It's an off year so far for sure. Especially the Ravens running game.
What do you all think?

Should be an interesting fight. Will take the teams 1 quarter to get reacquainted, and then the fun will begin. Steelers still need to get better at the fundamentals, but they are at home. Steelers in a squeaker. If the game was at night, it would be no contest. :chuckle:

the ravens have shown themselves most vulnerable by far when ray rice cant going for the past few years. this year it seems to be showing up more with boldin gone and jacoby jones injured (he's back though, isnt he?). stop rice, and we have a chance. which is asking alot because we've struggled to stop the run this year

Steelers-Ravens is always tough and physical. Not a lot of focus on fundamentals.
I'll take the Steelers.

Both teams are trying to find themselves. With Beachum in the lineup over Adams, I'll take the Steelers. Ben is better than Joe which is what these still usually come down to in my opinion.

This year it's a one star match up because we're in it! :chuckle:

Actually I think you can throw the records out. It will be the usual tough and bloody slugfest. It will probably come down to who wins the turnover battle. Should be weird with you guys not having Ed Reed or Ray Lewis but the rivalry is the rivalry.

This game is essentially the season. Steelers win, they have a pulse. Lose and you can pretty much bury them.

No predictions. Just another Ravens-Steelers matchup.

I give the Steelers the edge in this contest. One, it's at Heinz Field, and two, a loss and they are 1-5. Plus, coming off their first win of 2013 boosted tbeir confidence. What's the weather forecast?

I think history with these teams the records don't mean much because, it always is a hard fought game. I think this one will be like that tough and, whichever team makes that costly turnover will be the difference. Like Edman said if the steelers win there is still hope and, a loss it's pretty much over. I think the steelers will pull this out in a close one.

As usual when we play against Moonball Joe, I think it'll be a close game in which the outcome depends on jump balls and pass interference. Roll the dice, clackity-clackity-clack.

This is definitely a tough one to predict. Home field ? Means nothing to this team. Many losses came at home that should have been wins. QB's ? Both are terribly unpredictable. Running game ? LOL. Again, nothing to brag about. WR's ? How many 'drop' passes have we seen so far ? Defense? Yea right, for both teams again. Take away's ? Have to go with the Ratbirds here. I say it comes down to lucky breaks and/or ref calls. A bonehead penalty set's up someone in good field position and then the fun starts. GO STEELER's ! Let's hope last week win was the first of 11. ( hey, it can happen-hahaha).

Wow. I think this is the "quietest' Ravens-Steelers week thread I have ever seen. I guess that spells volumes about this season for both Baltimore and Pittsburgh, huh?

I think it will be a slugfest first team to eclipse 20 points wins , problem is I honestly have no clue who wins it 23-20 or something real close will most likely be the final score and whom ever plays best might not be he victor in what I believe will be an ugly contest by both sides

Ravens are coming off a loss against the packers. Call me crazy but the ravens tend to bounce back well after a loss. Here's to hope of being proven wrong.

Whichever team turns the ball over fewer times wins.

I'm in the mindset that this game can easily go either way for each team. I'm not sure how to approach it. The teams are too unpredictable at this point, imo.

Slightly sarcastic with a good chance of rain!
