WATFORD, England (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder's playing status for Sunday's NFL game in London against the Pittsburgh Steelers is in doubt because of a rib injury.

Does this make anyone else uneasy? I'm not a superstitious guy but it seems like back up QBs on less than great teams seem to do especially well against us for some reason. If I recall correctly, the Raiders, Titans and Chiefs off the top of my head have all put upsets on us with back ups over the past few years (the Raiders with our current back up). And although I wouldn't put much faith in Matt Cassell, he does have experience against us.

I know, I'm being nuts, right? Not that we can't very lose to either QB at this point. :(

Losing to Matt Cassell would be a very, very, bad sign.

LOL. Does it matter ? At this point we lose to anyone. It really doesn't matter who the QB is in my book. A good qb beats us, a bad qb beats us. We are going to face both through the season, so let's prepare properly and play them ! Go Steelers

A.P. has done that to better men than Gay... but yeah, tackling him would be a fine start. :)

Not as bad as being shredded by Tim Tebow in the playoffs. :chuckle:

The Browns beat this team in a dome in Minnesota with a back up QB. If we can't beat them on the grass in London then the rest of the season truly just becomes a train wreck to watch and see how Tomlin tries to keep up the facade that he is a top tier head coach in the NFL. With that said, I'm really hoping that I'm the one who is wrong about him and Tomlin proves that he is indeed a great head coach and turns the season around. It would be far better for this team if Tomlin were indeed as good as his defenders claim he is. Even though I have yet to hear from anyone exactly what aspect of coaching he excels at... other than press conferences and charisma.

It's not like Ponder is all that impressive to begin with. I'd call this more of a step sideways for them.
