During the week leading up to this game against the Bears, Antonio Brown (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/team/roster/antonio-brown/859114e9-d70b-477b-8eaf-6f34bb1ffc03/) described himself as a “hungry playmaker on the team.” Last Sunday night at Heinz Field, Brown made a meal of the Bears secondary.

He caught nine passes for a career-high 196 yards, plus two touchdowns, including a one-handed grab in the back corner of the end zone over Chicago Pro Bowl cornerback Charles Tillman. Brown is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Lawrence Timmons (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/team/roster/lawrence-timmons/afc86dd7-633e-4e37-a4da-5f089a96b666/), who led the defense with nine tackles; Brett Keisel (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/team/roster/brett-keisel/e07c42f5-62cd-4b07-828f-1d192885b0c0/), who had four tackles and a sack; LaMarr Woodley (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/team/roster/lamarr-woodley/ca7b64f1-170e-449e-a835-4851e785246d/), who had two tackles and a sack; Heath Miller (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/team/roster/heath-miller/ada7ab1b-9acd-421a-bed0-79ccc4542630/), who caught three passes for 35 yards in his first action on the way back from his knee injury; and Shaun Suisham (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/team/roster/shaun-suisham/1375892d-6f3e-462a-b784-4c6cd6bce2b2/), who was 3-for-3 on field goals and whose kickoffs were integral in holding Devin Hester to 13 yards on returns.

Digest player of the week? Does that mean he is the only one we could stomach last week?

Seriously, they were considering Lamarr? Thats some pretty slim pickings there. 2 tackles and 1 sack. Guess that shows you how much work we still have to do.

Big change from last week, when he was just a mediocre primadonna according to the majority opinion around here. :peep:

Who knows what really happened on the sideline in Cincinnati. One newspaper is saying nothing happened and the other is saying there was an argument (I'm talking about the Post-Gazette and Trib that is).

Whatever happened (or didn't happen) on the sideline was a typical media distraction. What I noticed was what AB was doing on the field, which was pretty much the only thing our offense had going for it. Antonio has been playing at this level all season.

ok, well saying brown has been playing at a possible 200 yard receiving game 3 games in a row is pushing it. But im happy with his performance. Even though it was only one game, i say we feed Brown the ball til he's deepthroating the fucking pigskin. As long as he gets more targets, and takes a bunch of them away from Sanders.

According to ESPN antonio brown has been targeted 29 times this season. Sanders? 30. Lol, talk about bullshit
