we ( based on statistics ) have a 2.6 % chance at turning this around and making the playoffs

based on percentages since 1990 on teams who start 0-3 ...

pretty sad that our hopes are done a month before Halloween

Forget the playoffs. I just want to see a positive change of direction, something tangible that can be built on for next season and beyond.

Not giving up totally on the playoffs, but not counting on them either. I saw some improvements last night, particularly in the running game. What bothered me most in this game was the mistakes by our QB. I'm not going to say he lost the game, but take away 2 or 3 of those mistakes and I think we had a good chance of winning this one. D line looked active, but could play better, and must be more consistent. The D-backfield, I thought, didn't look particularly good. Still have questions about our line coach. The O-line looked less lost after Gilbert got himself pulled.

We could realistically win this division at 8-8. Cleveland sucks as usual, and the Bengals are about as flimsy as they come despite all the hype. The Ravens are the only team that might be for real, and they're not exactly cleaning up either. If we can sweep the Ravens (a big if), that could put us in if we don't completely screw the pooch the rest of our games.

Of course, since screwing the pooch is exactly what we've been doing, this is all a lot of wishful thinking ...

at this point i dont want to make the playoffs. but i want to see some promise from this team, especially the younger players and Ben. If we even made it, we are one and done.

It takes serious mental toughness to go from 0-3 to the playoffs, I don't think this year's team has it

We have a better chance of seeing Joe Greene and Terry Bradshaw start next week than making the playoffs this season. Tomlin will have a new "Play for pride and your job" speech shortly.

I'd be disappointed if we went 1-15 over 0-16.

It's not about the record, it's about the reason(s) why the record is what it is.

There is a total lack of leadership on this team. We are officially entering the Bengals / Browns Universe.

0-4 for the first time in my lifetime, I was born in '69.

so low I do not know how to calculate it lol ...

since the afl/nfl merger only the 92 chargers have started 0-4 and made the playoffs ....

so it is not impossible ( because it has been done ) but its a microscopic chance .... I will go out on the limb and say no way in hell LOL
