Not all great NFL players have had nicknames, and not all nicknames seem apt. Certainly, most do not fit as well as "Mean" Joe Greene or "Fats" Holmes or even "Big Snack," which could describe either what Casey Hampton ate just before curfew or the offensive linemen he devoured earlier in the day.

Good read, Galax! Thanks for posting. It sounds like we have another defensive animal on our hands in Ziggy. Sucks Dwyer isn't looking too good though. I had high hopes for this guy. Maybe Stefan Logan isn't such a long shot to make the team after all...

I liked this kid when we drafted him. I think he will pay off this year.

I LOOOOVE our Coach. I remember last year hearing reports that Ziggy wasnt looking too good and was possibly playing out of position, now look, Ziggy could end up being the best D-line out of last years draft. Tyson Jackson who? B.J. Raji whaaa? Peria Jerry Huh?!? Hey Dwyer! stay in there bro. Coach Tomlin is gonna get the best outta you believe that!

I'm not gonna read too much into Dwyer's hardships just yet. He fell behind a bit with the injury and who knows, maybe it's still bothering him a little. Let's see what happens when given a proper amount of time. At worst, I think it would just be a developmental thing that may pay dividends next year. (Much as Redman is going to pay off this year.)
