Cornerback Crezdon Butler, who appeared to be in the running for a starting spot, has been cut by the Bills, according to WGR-550. Butler looked like a viable candidate to replace Stephon Gilmore, who is recovering from wrist surgery. That competition has been reduced to Justin Rogers and T.J. Heath.

Butler was a fifth-round pick by the Steelers in 2010. He has never started an NFL game, but he did take 19 snaps during his time with the Redskins and Bills last season.

if he hasn't made it yet , chances are he is not going to

He might make a better backup than some of the guys we have on the bench now. The end of last season was just horrid to watch. I have no faith whatsoever in Brown, Victorian, and anyone after them.

He could have been the Bills backup QB.
