- they had him 1 on 1 against Andre Johnson - not a good idea!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saints' secondary torched by Houston Texans receiver Andre Johnson
Johnson found soft spots in the zone, caught balls in traffic across the middle of the field and burned top free-agent cornerback acquisition Keenan Lewis on a few occasions.

Every CB, except maybe of Darrelle Revis would be bad if he would be one on one against Andre Johnson
In the regular season, Rob Ryan will never put Lewis or another CB one on one against a top 5 WR

Keenan Lewis has been awful the last 2 games. Vanilla defense or not he has been beaten more than anybody with the first two teams.
He's a high paid free agent for us who has been burnt all preseason Add to the fact he was still in the game with our backs up should say a lot
.
10 yard cushions do not bode well for "physical" cornerbacks
I'm sorry but that one play where Andre pushed him off like a little boy was embarrassing.

Good Lord. Some of these responses are ridiculous. This is the reason why I try to steer clear of the forum for a few hours after games, because the fickle gameday board fans come over to the SSF once a week after the game to complain and over-react about every single thing that went wrong.

Fire Sean Payton! Tell Tom Benson to take off his toupee. Tell Rob Ryan that Grizzly Adams is no longer on the air

as long as Tez remains the starter , I would be fine with that but we do not need two Ikes " err guys" that can't catch on the field at once

No keep tez for sure, I'm thinking long term because Ike will eventually retire.

isn't that the same thing you said about William Gay? Does it apply to pretty much every corner?
I'm sorry, but there are plenty of good receivers in the league, and somebody has to actually try and cover them. If you can't at least hold your own against any WR, including "Top-5" guys, you either belong on the bench or you don't belong in the league.

The CB position is the hardest of the NFL, especially with the rules

No doubt about that. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.
