I'm surprised to see an article like this without the phrases "that dickhead Wallace" or "Mendenhall the motherfucker." Guess they had to tread lightly for the PG audience.

Easy to say it's fixed before the season starts, if we lose a couple games then we will really see if its fixed.

Don't see why it wouldn't be fixed. The biggest child from last year's locker room is gone. Ben and Todd Haley seem to be getting along well. Mendenhall is in Arizona... unless these rookies start spouting off the team seems to be in a better place now than it was at this time last year. Second year under the offensive system, Troy is healthy... I can buy that the locker room issues from last year are gone. Does that mean new issues won't arise? No.

So Tomlin lets his players get fat and lazy and mouthy and he gets a pass?

another 8-8 or worse and he'll be on the chopping block

You're jumping to conclusions based on false and erroneous information. What you're not taking into consideration is the fact that last year's new collective bargaining agreement placed severe limits on how much teams can practice, how they practice and how much the coaching staffs are allowed to communicate with their players. The following link provides an excellent breakdown of the negative cause and affect of the new practice rule:

bullshit, the players all admitted the locker room was rife with dissention

In case you need a refresher on what went down in the offseason, an anonymous player ripped LaMarr Woodley for being out of shape.

Safety Ryan Clark compounded the problem publicly by saying this Woodley-bashing comment shows a "fracture" within in the Steelers locker room.

Wide receiver Antonio Brown then said the locker room was divided last season, pointing out there were players who were more focused on individual goals than the team's record, which ended up a mediocre 8-8.

If players are pointing fingers at each other, then the head coach has lost control of his team. Coaching is about more than chest bumps and high fives.

At this time, it was so ugly that someone has compared the situation of steelers to the New York Jets!!...ouch!
