New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/player/santonioholmes/2506885/profile) isn't ready for training camp. The more that we hear out of Jets (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/teams/newyorkjets/profile?team=NYJ) camp, the more it sounds like he won't be ready for Week 1 because of his injured foot.
On Friday, Holmes was asked if he'd even be ready for the season...........

Does an injured foot take longer to heal when you don't have a QB to throw to you?

I think it takes an additional 6-8 weeks to mend when you have a suckass QB

who wouldve thought at the time of the trade that we wouldve gotten the long end of the stick. Good work Steelers FO.

Anyone remember who we got for that fateful 5th round pick, just for laughs?

It was traded to the Cardinals for Bryant McFadden and a 6th round pick, which turned out to be Antonio Brown.

Even at the time, the fact we got anything above a 7th rounder out of that deal when we had absolutely no leverage is pretty remarkable.

True, but let's face it, he's got "will be broke, back in the hood and selling drugs again within 5 years after his playing career ends" written all over him.

Well it wasn't really his choice to be sent to the "shed." The "shed" was the only "place" that wanted him...lol. And now look...he gone stepped on a rusty nail and hurt dat foot.

This would seem like the year he would want to get back out there with chris ivory added to the run game could open up some opportunities in the passing game.

Mark Sanchez will just throw the ball into the ground when those "opportunities" do arise. Geno Smith won't be much better.

I can't imagine him hanging out in Belle Glade to recuperate. He has guaranteed $, but if he ends up back there flat broke he will get arrested. That place is one of the worst towns in Florida.
