Three years after the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/pittsburghsteelers/profile?team=PIT) reportedly considered washing their hands (http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/local/breaking/steelers-roethlisberger-awaits-fate-trade-not-ruled-out-243203/) of Ben Roethlisberger (http://www.nfl.com/player/benroethlisberger/2506109/profile), the quarterback made it clear Tuesday that he hopes to spend the rest of his career with the same organization.
Appearing in London to promote the Steeler's Week 4 bout versus the Minnesota Vikings (http://www.nfl.com/teams/minnesotavikings/profile?team=MIN) at Wembley Stadium, Roethlisberger took aim at Hall of Fame (http://www.profootballhof.com/)r Terry Bradshaw's four Super Bowl (http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/47) rings.
"I want to pass Terry Bradshaw by getting more Super Bowl wins (https://twitter.com/SteelersPRBurt/status/352093338461159424)," Roethlisberger said, via Steelers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/pittsburghsteelers/profile?team=PIT) public relations manager Burt Lauten. "That's our expectations in Pittsburgh. ... There is no other franchise I would rather play for than the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/pittsburghsteelers/profile?team=PIT)."

Ben "might" be slightly better than Brad because he is bigger and throws less picks, but no way anybody is better than the 1970s Steelers. Probably will never happen and not in my lifetime. They were the best of all time.

Bradshaw already said it's fine if Ben breaks all his records. Not really news but you know how they love to build up Ben vs Terry

I'm pretty sure Ben has made these same statements for years.

This is news?

I would hope that our new LB wants to be better than Harrison, Greene, and Lambert
I would hope our new WR wants to be better than Ward, Swan, and Stallworth
I would hope our new . . .

Really, I think it'd be news if he said, "I don't want to become the best."

Yeah, but you gotta love the way they worked the Georgia incident angle in there and even provided a link to it for about the 10,000th time all the same.

Hey guys, you hear about the Aaron Hernandez thing? Time to dump on another target and stop beating this dead horse already.

Ben will have to do better on the big stage to surpass Bradshaw in my eyes.

Ben didn't put us in the hole like Brad did, but Brad bailed us out with his arm too. Brad also has 4 SB rings. Ben has the greatest TD pass in SB history. Choices, choices.

You can't win rings without a "team". Ben may want more, and he may want it more than any other Steeler on the team. But it doesn't mean a thing unless the whole team is "all in".

I can say for the first time in several years it SEEMS like we have a team that is young and hungry.

I think Ben will have the supporting cast he needs Pristas.

Going to be difficult...that Green Bay loss leaves a huge dent in this "dream."

I couldn't agree more. I really hope this is the case. I'm ready for a nice deep playoff run like we've been accustomed to.

If Ben wins one more, then it won't be a question of "is he an elite QB?", it will always be "he could have tied Bradshaw's ring count had he only won against Green Bay". I think this may be his legacy. I could see us winning one more SB. I have a hard time seeing us winning two more. Especially with the talent in this league, and the random things that happen in games... like Joe Flacco throwing that duck of a pass and the Ratbirds going on to the SB. That was Manning's SB. Sorry Ravens.

Ben will probably be the guy who goes down as having taken the Steelers to 4 more Super Bowls, winning 3.

I like that there are a lot of young guys on this team that have gotten a taste of that defeat against GB. I also like that there are a lot of talented young guys that have the maturity to see that their legacy can be written this season. If you can get your players to realize this, I think you have an excellent chance of being great. The players must realize that you only last a short time in the NFL and you can go down as one of the greats, but it starts right now. It's not next season, it's all right now.

Those are good goals for Ben to set. He's already half way there with 2 SBs, and was 1 drive away from making it a third. Though, IMO, to be realistic in winning 4, he'll have to stay injury-free. Also, the team around him needs to play better. I am more concerned about the former than the latter. We've all seen what the Steelers are capable of.

I agree this is the most important

Hopefully the new style of offense along with a quality offensive line that is healthy will make the difference.

Ben is a fighter but I am not sure how much more of a beating he can take.

You and me both, even though I think Ben has ALREADY done enough to at least get into the Hall of Fame at this point. Just my two cents. Ben rocks big time!

Good point. He also tends to play through injuries which is not necessarily always a great idea.
