In 2005, Patriots owner Robert Kraft joined several other American business leaders at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Putin left with Kraft’s Super Bowl ring (http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/8402895/). After questions arose about what happened, Kraft released a statement saying he had given Putin the ring as a present to show his respect for the people of Russia.
Now Kraft says that’s not exactly how it happened...............

Some of the comments are hilarious..........
Putin was just sending Roger Goodell a message. “That’s how you deal with Spygate.”
Damn, there go the NFL franchises in Moscow and St. Petersburg!
Man do I miss the Cold War. Ronnie Reagan would have b slapped Putin and got the ring back

"I took out the ring and showed it to (Putin)," Kraft said this week, per the New York Post. "And he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,' I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."
Now I'm left wondering how many people he's actually killed with this ring...

That's what you call karma, cheating for a ring that ends up getting stolen

IDK, there is something about this story that doesn't make sense. I'm not saying it couldn't happen. I have always thought Putin was a bit unstable (which is kind of scary). But why bring it up now? Just seems to me like there is more to the story. Maybe something involving gay sex with an NFL quarterback? Just a thought, but something is odd in this story.

I saw a clip of an interview on CNBC from last year when this first came up. I think it was one of the hosts who claimed to have been there when it happened; but Kraft was trying to deny it. I believe it happened. Putin is supposedly a raging pedophile as well, so I put nothing beyond him.
