If the steelers not lose against bad teams(as raiders, titans, etc), I think the Steelers will be in the playoffs

How do we end up playing the Raiders every year? It's getting almost as absurd as Denver, who I'm amazed we don't pay twice on the road.
I mean, we ought to be happy about playing the Raiders, but given how we always stink the joint out against them ...

Steelers have finished 3rd in their division......Same thing for raiders...This is for this reason than the Steelers play against the Raiders this year
The Steelers also play against the Titans every year since 2008

Every yr I believe we can win 10-12 games if Ben stays healthy. Plus if are rookies develop like leveon bell and Wheaton and Troy stays healthy plus I like the way people are already counting us out 3rd best team in afc north I think we could reach that 11 win plateau. I know that's a lot of what ifs but I like are chances then again it's not even June yet. Lol.

I think the Steelers will win 10-11 games, something like that. I think this year's team has more dynamic playmakers on both sides of the ball than last year's team had.
Start with Lamarr Woodley. The popular consensus seems to be Woodley sucks, and is an overweight slob. I think closer to the truth is this is a guy who is coming off one bad season. This after 5 very strong seasons. People seem to forget Woodley was in the conversation for DPOY up until he blew out his hamstring against the Patriots in 2011. And I don't even think he was out of shape so much last year as he just overly bulked up and lost his speed and agility. He tried to become James Harrison, and that's just not true to who he is. And it of course backfired and he became a poor Lamarr Woodley. Anyway I think he rebounds and has a strong season this year. Put Woodley down for 12+ sacks, and watch the turnovers increase.
Troy Polamalu is another guy we got virtually nothing out of last season who I think can put his hat in the ring for league Comeback player of the year award. Troy is a guy you expect to create mayhem and turn the ball over 7-10 times in a season. Get that guy back and put him on the field with a resurgent Woodley and all of a sudden our defense has a dynamic quality again.
Cortez Allen is another guy who will contribute to this cause. I know it was just a small sampling last year what he could do in creating turnovers. But I don't think it was a fluke. Anyone who sees this guy in camp knows he has mad ball skills and if we can get 5 picks here, that can change a game or two in our favor.
Got to go now, I'll get into the offensive side of the ball later.

Injuries is the factor with this team. I voted that they make the play-offs as a wild card. If Ben can stay healthy for a whole season then I like our chances of winning the division. But, and that's a big 'but', we all know that that is a difficult task for Ben. Playing teams like Oakland and Tennessee are always 'iffy' since we always play DOWN to our opponents and then end up getting a loss. And then you have the bungholes who all of a sudden is playing NFL football and thinking they can compete and win. Cleveland is coming around, so you can't really write them off as a loss ( in my opinion), and of course the ratbirds are going to be competitve. So, if Ben and our starter's can stay healthy and do their jobs I can see us having a decent year. I would really like to see our record be 4-0 or 3-1 by the BYE week, that would give me a great feeling, that bunghole game could determine how the division games will go. But if the team comes out of the gate with their heads up their butts, then they could lose the first 3 games and be 1-3 come the BYE and be an up hill battle and a long season.

I am in full agreement with the last 3 posts....I always expect 10 wins or better and as Moose said injuries are the biggest X factor....especially Ben.
However with all of the offseason change I may wait until after the first game to firm up a prediction this year.:couch2:

I picked AFC North Champions. I don't think they get a first round bye (Patriots and Broncos). I think the Ravens have a down season, too many losses in the offseason, I think they slip to 8-8 and miss the playoffs by a game like we did last year. The Bengals don't take the step to division champs, but fight for a playoff spot, but I am not sure if they make it. The Browns are the Browns.
Steelers 11-5
Bengals 9-7
Ravens 8-8
Browns 6-10

To win the North this year we will need to play lights out with no injuries all season. I really think Cincy is the team to beat.
